East Coast Beach Microwedding North Topsail

an intimate day full of loved ones

Olivia, Barron, and their loved ones traveled from Pennsylvania to have an East Coast beach microwedding with an ocean view. They got ready on separate sides of the house to avoid seeing each other, and their family + friends helped them get ready for their wedding day. Before the ceremony, Olivia + Barron did a back to back (no peeking) private letter reading. This really set their emotions for the day and helped them put aside the excitement of their families and connect with each other.

how to have a beach microwedding

Olivia + Barron rented an entire beach house for all of their family + friends to stay in. Beach houses tend to be spacious, and this one had multiple levels of bedrooms to hold everyone. The beach house they rented overlooked the ocean, which means the sandy shore was right in their backyard. They were able to get ready and walk right outside to one of the best days of their lives.

Some AirBnbs have started implementing restrictions on parties or gatherings which would include microweddings. If you contact the AirBnb or VRBO host ahead of time, you can work out all of the details and get the greenlight for a backyard ceremony.

Many beaches are still on public land even though they are backed up to a rental house. We can help you secure any city or special use permits you might need to elope or have a microwedding on the beach.

Beach elopements and microweddings offer a ton of fun activities like sailboat excursions, snorkeling, sandy picnics, or whale watching! You can also opt for a tourist town that has great food and land-side attractions to pack your day with fun.

the east coast

Michael and I spend a lot of time running around the mountains, but Michael is North Carolina born. We find ourselves on the East Coast often to see loved ones and to photograph elopements or microweddings. Although the Rocky Mountains are home, we love adding variety to our lives and the couples we serve.

The beach was a perfect, intimate setting for Olivia + Barron’s microwedding. They had an awesome boho vibe with pompas grass and neutral decor. Barron had us all crying with his reaction when he got to see Olivia for the first time, and their ceremony was so dreamy. They finished up the day with a front yard reception. We loved that Olivia + Barron were still able to get the wedding vibe they wanted while keeping their focus on their love story and their marriage. Congratulations Olivia + Barron!
