Or is it an elopement? This intimate lakehouse wedding could fall into either category. Hannah + Tyler, who happen to be a few of our best friends, planned a huge wedding. Hannah is a PLANNER. She is full of energy and she has the ability to take on anything– including planning a huge wedding. They had the perfect date (10/10/2020), a gorgeous venue, a different dress, everything! However, Covid had other plans.
Hannah + Tyler made the wise choice to postpone their large celebration in order to keep all of their loved ones safe. They still wanted to get married on 10/10/2020, so they pushed all of their wedding plans into the future and started planning a micro wedding. Their aunt + uncle’s lakehouse was the perfect spot to fit their immediate family and have a gorgeous wedding day.
Tyler got ready at The Elizabethtown Inn, while Hannah got ready at the lakehouse. They chose not to have a first look (our favorite– we love when couples first see each other at the aisle!), so they stayed separate for the first half of the day. Tyler gave Hannah one of the most unique gifts we have ever seen: a goat! Not a goat that will stay in their backyard, but a goat for a village that will provide food for families. It was such a thoughtful gift, and a great way to be selfless on their wedding day.
Their ceremony was full of laughter, tears, a little rain, and a handful of excited pups. It was so beautiful for them to be surrounded by their immediate loved ones in a place so special to their family. I love that they can come back to this space whenever they want to relive the memories of their wedding day. They can take family vacations here and continue to build memories on top of the meaningful ones they have already made.
Hannah + Tyler had the most exquisite backyard reception that was the cherry on top of their intimate, lakehouse wedding. They took a simple environment and brought class and fine detail so that it really spoke to the vibe of their wedding day. We loved the gold accents, as well as the embroidered napkins. The evening continued on with more laughter, and lots of love. Hannah + Tyler are friends that we hold so close to our heart. They are good people to the core, and they are there for you in any situation, at any time, without judgement. We were absolutely honored to celebrate with them and capture their special day.
