This elopement styled shoot with take place at Zion National Park just before sunrise. We will have extremely limited space available for both photographers and videographers. Throughout the styled shoot, I will lead mini posing sessions covering movement based prompts, how to bring out emotion, and how to capture a dynamic range of shots in a short amount of time. We will also scratch the surface of night photography (check out our workshop in July to jump all the way in) because we will begin shooting before the sun comes up. Additionally, we will discuss helpful ways to share the space as photographers + videographers working together.
We will cover multiple locations of the park to provide a dynamic range of scenery. Specific locations TBD based on current trail status and weather.
We will break up into groups to allow everyone to have ample shooting time. Creatives will take turns leading and prompting the couple. When it is not your turn, you are more than welcome (and encouraged) to work together to photograph branding images for each other.
This styled shoot will involve hiking in the dark with headlamps. Weather will be unpredictable, and we will hold the styled shoot as long as conditions are not dangerous. It is recommended to have a professional camera (preferably full frame) and a variety of lens options. A speedlight is also recommended, but we will discuss how to use limited creative lighting for elopement scenarios where you might not have a speedlight handy.
