We are so excited to offer an astrophotography, landscape, and light painting retreat this year! This workshop will take place at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. Specific shooting locations will be solidified within one week of the event (TBD based on current trail status and weather). We will cover a handful of locations to provide a dynamic range of scenery. We have limited space available for photographers. This workshop is currently not available for videographers.
This workshop will involve hiking at night with headlamps. It will likely be cold at night. Weather will be unpredictable, and we will hold the workshop as long as conditions are not dangerous. Protective gear (knives, bear mace, etc.) is permitted but must be disclosed on your participant form.
It is recommended to have a professional camera (preferably full frame), and wide angle, wide aperture lenses. It is also highly recommended, if not necessary, to have a tripod and a remote shutter. Star trackers are also great, but not necessary. We will have editing courses, so it is recommended to bring a laptop with editing software. If you have any questions on necessary gear, or where to rent gear if you do not own it, please reach out!

This schedule is tentative. It is not required to attend all blocked events-- we get it if you need your sleep! You are more than welcome (and encouraged) to use free time to work together to photograph branding images for each other.
Lodging will be available by April 1, 2021, and you will purchase your lodging separately here.
